National Park Inn - Inside Mount Rainier National Park at Longmire.   This historic inn
provides a scenic retreat in Mount Rainier National Park with spectacular views of Mount Rainier
and a full range of services including a dining room and general store.  The Inn has 25 rooms, a
friendly lounge and features an oversized stone fireplace. This rustic year-round lodge is a great
spot for a cozy casual getaway or as a base for hiking or cross country skiing in winter. A vintage
log cabin near the Inn houses a general store.  In winter, crosscountry skis and snowshoe
rentals are available.  Winter rates November through late April.   Just 2700 feet elevation the Inn

Paradise Inn - Located in the Park at the road-end. Built in 1916, and recently benefitting
from a $20 million remodel.  The historic guest lodge features 121 guest rooms, the Paradise
Inn Dining Room, Tatoosh Café, and gift shop offering Native American crafts. In 1919, Hans
Fraehnke, a German carpenter, designed and built much of the decorative woodwork that exists
today.  The Inn sits against the panoramic backdrop of Mount Rainier - the sight is stunning with
majestic views of of the nearby Nisqually Glacier.   Flowering meadows surround the lodge and
miles of trails fan out in all directions.  Paradise Inn is open mid-May until early Oct.  The dining
room features a menu of Northwest seafood, buffalo and elk.   Rates: $99-$228  Call (360)

  LODGING NEAR SW ENTRANCE TO PARK - ASHFORD - LONGMIRE
Nisqually Lodge, located near the entrance to Mt. Rainier National Park, is close to the
Sunrise, Paradise and Longmire facilities.  Each of the 24 large airy rooms in this chateau-style
establishment are equipped with air conditioning, telephone and television. Laundry facilities
are available for guests.  There is a Great Room, with fireplace and open beam cathedral
ceiling,  for reading, relaxing or conversation with fellow travelers from distant places. An outdoor
hot tub is available for all guests.  A spacious meeting room, in its own building, is available for
